Dini Önemi ve Anlamı
Eid al-Adha (the Festival of Sacrifice) commemorates the profound devotion and willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) to sacrifice his son Ismail in obedience to Allah Almighty. It directly follows the Day of Arafah and coincides with the sacred Hajj pilgrimage. Muslims perform Qurbani (Udhiyah)—sacrificing sheep, goats, cows, or camels—and distribute the meat among family, friends, and the impoverished.
Önerilen Sünnetler ve İbadetler
- Recite the Takbeerat of Tashreeq after every obligatory prayer from 9th Dhu al-Hijjah Fajr to 13th Asr
- Refrain from cutting hair or nails if intending to offer Qurbani
- Do not eat before the Eid al-Adha prayer until returning to eat from the sacrifice
- Perform the Qurbani slaughtering according to Islamic guidelines with compassion
- Distribute meat to the poor and needy, relatives, and neighbors
Masnoon Dua / Supplication
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah; and Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise.
